Black Friday Isn't Over

Some last minute business-owner tips to get the most out of the weekend..

Happy BFCM weekend!

If you’re new in business it can be hard (and sometimes overwhelming) to know how to approach Black Friday. You know you should be doing something, but it’s hard to know what. That blanket % sale doesn’t seem to be driving the sales that you’ve seen from other business owners on social media and so you’re wandering where you went wrong. If you’re in this position and Black Friday sales were a bit of a disappointment then not to worry - there are still some actions you can take over the next few days to turn things around:

1.) Segment your email list - For those on your email list that didn’t take advantage of your Black Friday deal, you can send further emails educating them on the benefits and features of your products, as well as reviews/testimonials to act as social proof. You should also include a reminder that there’s only X amount of hours left of the offer (urgency) and there’s only X amount of stock left (scarcity). For them to not have taken advantage of the offer it means a) they’re still in the consideration stage of the buyer’s journey in which case the above will help push some people to the next stage b) they didn’t see the offer (everyone’s inbox is rammed right now!) so this gives you another opportunity to get in front of them or c) the offer wasn’t enticing enough - in which case refer to the next point

2.) Try out different sales types - Sales psychology is a whole specialism in its’ own right for this very reason. Different types of buyers will respond to different types of offers. To increase your chances of hitting them all, try different types of offers - X% off; $X off; Buy X, get Y free; Free gift with purchase; Double loyalty points. Test out a new offer everyday over the next few days and see what sticks.

3.) Retargeting ads - Sometimes it really is just about getting in front of people several times before your messaging resonates. You can set up retargeting ads on Facebook and even include a further discount/bonus to convince those reaallyyy price-sensitive buyers. If you need help with your ad strategy see the offer below :)
