How to not be overwhelmed with new year planning
You only need these 3 things...
Hey, hey and happiest of new years!
I’ll keep this edition very short as we’re all bombarded with more than enough information and things we’re told to change at this time of year. It’s a new year and a blessing to see it. Yes we all have ambitions - probably big ones if you’re subscribed to this. But in all the new tactics and goal setting protocols you’ll see, I want to remind you that ultimately your expansion will only come down to these 3 essential elements.
Habits - “You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the levels of your systems” - our habits are the automatic system that determine our outcomes
Choices - We have to intentionally choose which actions and habits to practice everyday, as well as what and who we’re surrounded by
Mindset - the buzzword we actually hear way too much, but the way your mind is set is quite literally everything. Changing your habits when your mind is set to believe the new habit isn’t going to “work” is very much swimming upstream. As our beliefs and stories change, so do our feelings, and we naturally want to make different choices.
These are the 3 things I’m going to evaluate myself on weekly to simplify things. I do like testing out different methods of accountability and reflection, but other than that I find most goal setting protocols unnecessarily complex and who really has time for that?
The focus of this newsletter for the near future is building a community of people who actually believe building a life of financial autonomy outside of their day job is possible, and are ready to face the numbers of their own life and develop an attainable growth plan to get there. I have some resources coming over the next few months to help with this so keep your eyes peeled!
