Imagine finding out illness is created in the mind...

I’ve seen a lot of discourse online recently about self-help books being toxic, repetitive and just an overall no-go. Personally, I’ve learnt to take what I need from them and leave it there. I do agree with the fact that they can be repetitive and even hard to apply to your actual life. What’s the use of all that theory if nothing changes in your life right?

However, there have been a few books I’ve read that have genuinely made a lasting impact and have changed many, many lives. I don’t say that lightly either. These books happen to be a bit controversial for reasons I discuss in today’s video.

These aren’t your generic self-help books….*cough* no Rich Dad, Poor Dad or Think & Grow Rich *cough*. They each have concepts that directly contradict the way we’ve been brought up to think about health, human interaction and success in general. So while these concepts at first may raise your eyebrows (they sure raised mine) I always remind myself that what has got me to where I am now, are my current beliefs and way of thinking. So if I’m striving to get to another level, why should I expect that the way of thinking required by my next level will be anything that makes sense to me right now?

I say all that to say, enjoy today’s video :)
