Why September is your sign for a new chapter

The Peaceful Upgrade #05

Just a reminder and some words of encouragement if you’re going through change or a time of uncertainty.

September is the ninth month and it also marks the end of summer and the arrival of autumn. In many traditions and beliefs this is symbolic of a changing season, birthing season, harvest season.

Whichever you believe, the common denominator is change. And when change comes, it’s a chance to put your life into perspective. As I mentioned in last week’s edition, post-summer is the perfect time to re-align. So I encourage you to use September to embrace introspection, reflection, and spiritual growth.

That is of course, much easier said than done when said change is something painful. I’m currently going through this as I write. In that case, I’m sending love and hope you can find a version of spiritual growth that works for you and what you need right now ❤️

Stay blessed,

Peace

‘Aha’ moments of the week:

Every week I’ll tell you a few things I’ve learned and an action that can be applied to it, so that you can commit to implement at least one this coming week. I’m a massive fan of action and accountability and aim for this newsletter to be that for you.

1.) The best communicators unlock more levels of life. Being able to communicate your ideas, your value, how you need help etc. Yet we’re rarely taught how to get better at communicating…it’s just a buzzword you see in almost every job description.

ACTION: Score your communication skills out of 10. For the next week take every conversation as practice to be a better communicator. Seek first to understand and then to be understood. Start with where the other person is and meet them where they’re at before you try to take them to where I’m trying to get them to. At the end of the week give yourself a new score and see if there’s been any improvement.

2.) One of my 3 online mentors, Myron Golden, says the highest-value skills you can learn to succeed in today’s age is learning how to communicate and learning how to think. I’ve made these my focus, as well as one more - learning how to learn.

We are overflooded by information so learning how to learn has meant I’ve had to learn what not to listen to, as well as who to. This is why I’ve whittled my online mentors to 3, and another one of them is Alex Hormozi. If you’re trying to start or grow a business, or become more business-minded. I can’t recommend his content enough. He’s just dropped a new book called $100M leads and it’s completely free.

ACTION: Watch this video, to find out all the information about his new book and how to get your free book with trainings.

Resource spotlight

Each week, I’ll handpick a valuable gem(s) - a book, video, tool, or any other valuable resource - that I think is not commonly known (I’m also the queen of finding unearthed gems) but will truly educate, inspire or help you in your journey in some way.

On the theme of change, here’s a book to read if you’re struggling with it. It’s called ‘Who Moved My Cheese - Spencer Johnson”. Here’s the video summary if you’re a fan of shortcuts 😉 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvYCLxqkfvY

I’m going to guess I’m not the only person who every other person they know now wants to move to Dubai…If you’re one of them or know someone who is, here are some job boards for UAE-based roles.

If you liked this newsletter, please share it with someone you think would find this sort of stuff useful :)
